VBS at Kiratina
From the 23.11. to 26.11.2015 I had a Vacational Bible School (VBS) at ACK St. Paul´s and AIC Kiratina. On Monday and Tuesday we met at ACK St- Paul´s and on Wednesday and Thursday we met at AIC Kiratina.

From 9 to 12 a.m. there was a program for children about Jona. First we sung some songs and then I was teaching the story about Jona in Kiswahili.

Apart from Monday everyday we did a repition game with question about the story on the day before.

Then we did some arts. For some children it was the first time using water colours or scissors. The children really loved it.

Then there was game-time. On the first day we played games about “fish”, on the next day we did water games and on the third day games about the Jona story.

At the end I was telling them a Christian adventure story in Kiswahili. The children listened very carefully.

On the last day we watched a movie about Jona. It was a great week. Everyday there were between 80 and 93 children coming.

At the last day I asked the children if they are willing to believe in Jesus and 17 children stayed behind and 7 girls and 10 boys gave their lives to Jesus. Glory to God!!!

During the entire week from 2 to 5 p.m. I did a program for the teens and youngsters of both churches and also many teenagers from the village were attending the program. We have been between 19 and 28 youngsters.

On Monday and Tuesday we started the program by playing soccer and on Wednesday with Volleyball. On Thursday there was too much rain to make sports outside.

Then we had a time of worshipping the Lord. Then I was teaching about the armour of God.

Afterwards we had a fun time with making riddles, games and quizzes. And we had lots of fun.

On Thursday we watched the movie „Hardflip“, and 7 boys gave their lieves to Jesus. Glory to God!!!

It was a very nice week and I was very thankful for Claudia from our church who was assisting me every morning and afternoon and fort wo ladies from both churches who were helping me also.
