Christmas Service at our church
On the 22.12.15 four ladies from our church were coming to our home to make two cakes and some Christmas cookies. Inside of the cookies was a small paper with the Christmas message.

On the 25.12.15 around 10 a.m. we started with the service. One of the elders (Kamau) was leading the service. 10 adults and 14 children were present.

After the greetings we were singing some Christmas Songs in English and Kiswahili.

After the readings the chairman of the church was preaching.

Then I was telling the children and adults the story about the „Four Lights of the Shepherd Simon” by using Kiswahili.

Afterward we watched a cartoon movie about the birth of Jesus. During the movie we were eating the “Christmas Tree cake” and drinking juice.

After all we were wishing us a „Merry Christmas“ and everybody got a cookie with the Christmas message.

After the service I went with the Sunday school children into the village and we gave the leftover Christmas cakes to the people in the village and said “Merry Christmas”.

We gave more than 300 cookies with the Christmas message to the people at Kiratina.

Sunday Service at AIC Kiratina
After we moved in our new home we were looking for a church for us and we found the AIC Kiratina.

The service is in Kiswahili.

The church likes to sing a lot. During the service first the men are singing,

then the ladies

and finally the youngsters.

During the service also the Sundayschool children were presenting some songs and memory verses.

After the worship there is the sermon. Pastor John is responsible for three churches and therefore sometimes church elders are preaching also.

After the blessing the church is finished and everybody is going home.

The people were welcoming Robert and me very heartily. Pastor John has agreed to assist Robert during his Bible school. We are very thankful about that. ar.
